In the clear, says cardiologist!

Yay!! It's the news we expected, given how small his VSD heart murmur was, at 2 mm at his 7 or 8 month old checkup and echo, but it was nice to hear it from our pediatric cardiologist yesterday. He said there is no need to get another echo done unless we just wanted to for our own curiosity of seeing how much it's closed since his last one. He said he can tell by listening that it is smaller than 2 mm now. And it was small as it was then! It has never affected his health and the doc says even if it never gets any smaller we'll never need to do anything and Jamie will be fine, even as an old man. Yay!! We will wait a few years to see if his umbilical hernia entirely closes on its own. It doesn't look like anything anymore so it is closing. They suspect it'll be closed by the time he's 4 or so. So that's the latest report. ;-)
